Boiling points of ethers are similar to corresponding alkanes why

Ethers have two polar c-o bonds and are more polar than alkanes ,but less polar than alchols . therfore ,either molecules do not hydrogen bond to eachother ,and their boiling points are very close to those of alkanes of similar molecular weight.
