Bonjour ^-^
Write the configuration of Bromine according to aufbav rule .
State it's block , period no. , group no. and spin Multiciplity.
Is it paramagnetic or diamagnetic ?
Thanks ☺

Hey sis .....☺
Here's ur ans.⬇
Atomic no. of Bromine = 35
Therefore it's configuration = 1s^2 2s^2. 2p^6 3s^2. 3p^6. 4s^2. 3d^10. 4p^5
No. of unpaired electrons = 1
↪ Block = p
↪Period no. = 4
↪Group no. = (nse + npe)+ 10 = 17
↪Spin Multiciplity = 2|s| +1
= 2 × 1/2 + 1
= 2
It is paramagnetic as it has unpaired electrons .
Hope u understand ....

hye,
Atomic number of bromine is 35
So its electronic configuration will be (Ar] 3d10 4s2 4p5
It lies in the 17th Group and in the P block and in 4th period.
It spin multiplicity is 2
It is paramagnetic and is unpaired
