Boring is done into the ground at construction sites for water? How does such practice affect water table?

it reduces the water table, as boring sucks up water from water of the table.

The groundwater is recharged by seepage of rain water. the rainwater and water from other sources such as rivers and ponds seeps through the soil and feels the empty space and cracks deep below the ground.
