Both alternating current and direct current are measured in amperes. But how is the ampere defined for an alternating current?

ampere is a unit to measure current..
it can't define an alternating current..
it can only express the amount or magnitude of the current..


the magnitude of AC fluctuates with time it depends on frequency of supplied alternating voltage.
