Given as :

Two numbers are greater than - 15 and less than 5

One number = 6 + other number

To Find :

The two numbers

Solution :

Let The one number = x

And The other number = y

Statement I

Two numbers are greater than - 15 and less than 5

i.e   x , y > - 15

     x , y < 5

Statement II

One number = 6 + other number

i.e  x = 6 + y

Using hit-trial method

If y = - 12

So,  x = 6 + ( - 12 )

Or,  x = 6 - 12

i.e   x = - 6

So, From here

x , y > - 15

x , y < 5

Similarly

if y = -4

So, x = 6 + ( - 4)

i.e  x = 6 - 4

∴  x = 2

So, From here

x , y > - 15

x , y < 5

Hence, From The hit-trial method, given statements can be verify . Answer

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

Given as :

Two numbers are greater than - 15 and less than 5

One number = 6 + other number

To Find :

The two numbers

Solution :

Let The one number = x

And The other number = y

Statement I

Two numbers are greater than - 15 and less than 5

i.e   x , y  - 15

    x , y  5

Statement II

One number = 6 + other number

i.e  x = 6 + y

Using hit-trial method

If y = - 12

So,  x = 6 + ( - 12 )

Or,  x = 6 - 12

i.e   x = - 6

So, From here

x , y  - 15

x , y  5

Similarly

if y = -4

So, x = 6 + ( - 4)

i.e  x = 6 - 4

∴  x = 2

So, From here

x , y  - 15

x , y  5

Hence, From The hit-trial method, given statements can be verify . Answer
