Both river and seawater contain Mud sand and unwanted material but only river water is considered suitable for drinking. why?

HEY DEAR HERE IS YOUR ANSWER
MUD AND SAND CAN SETTLE DOWN BY THE PROCESS OF SEDIMENTATION AND DECANTATION BUT SALTS CAN'T . IT IS A VERY TIME TAKING PROCESS SEAWATER CONTAINS HUGE AMOUNT OF SALTS IN IT .
THAT IS WHY RIVER WATER US CONSIDERD SUITABLE FOR DRINKING..

Seawater contains salts which are dangerous for humans to drink as water rather we use river as it is much freshwater from the melting glaciers..........
