Answer:

Gases such as Carbondioxide[CO2], Methane[CH4], Ozone [O3] , Nitrogendioxde[NO2] and Chloroflurocarbons are called ad Green House gases.

Burning of fossil fuels in homes, Industries ,automobiles etc results in increases levels of CO2 and  CH4 in atmosphere. The green house gases mainy trap the heat [infrared radiation ] reflected by the earth.This heating up of atmosphere leads to increase in Earth's temperature. This phenomenon is called as Green house effect or global warming..

Effects of Green House effect:

---> Melting of polar ice caps

--->Rise in sea level.

--->Causes floods in low lying coastal places.

--->Causes change in weather and precipitation patterns on earth.

--->One of the greatest danger of continuing global warming is " Methane Burp".
