Both Veld and Prairies are temperate grasslands but crop cultivation in the Veld is not as developed as that of the Prairies. Mention 2 reasons for the same.

Answer:

Agriculture in the Veld is not as important as the Prairies due to the following factors in Velds: (a) Prevalence of low rainfall and consequent drought conditions. (b) Soil is not highly fertile, which further restricts agriculture.
