cost price of brad = 9.25
selling price of each bottle = 1
selling price of 12 bottles = 1*12 = 12
formula
profit = selling price - cost price
p = 12-9.25
p = 2.75
profit = 2.5
profit percent = profit / cost price * 100
p= 2.5/9.25*100
p = 27.0
hence ,
profit percent = 27.0 percent

to find profit percent the formula is profit/ cost price *100
profit/sp *100
think logically , if know sp and you don't know cp then how can you know whether it is profit or loss . profit and loss both depends on c.p only . so profit / c.p * 100
better go for google u will understand...........profit is sp-cp.........so there exist no such logic as yours.........
in youtube there are derivations too . you can check in that
