Answer:

the total distance covered by the rabbit. = 1680 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance between Car & Rabbit = 1170 km

A car is climbing u to hill at a speed of 90 kmph

Distance = 1170 km

Time taken by Car = 1170/90 = 13 hrs

so Rabbit moved up & hill for 13 hrs

Distance covered uphill & Downhill by Rabbit are equal

let say T hrs rabbit traveled down hill then 13-t hrs rabbit moved uphill

140 * t = 120 (13 - t)

=> 140t = 120 * 13 - 120t

=> 260 t = 120 * 13

=> 20t = 120

=> t = 6

6 hrs Down hill  & 13-6 = 7 hrs uphill

Distance traveled = 140*6 + 120*7 =  840 + 840 = 1680 km

the total distance covered by the rabbit. = 1680 km
