Brakes applied to a car produces an acceleration of 5m/s2 in the opposite direction to the motion. If car takes 1.5s to stop after applying the brakes. Calculate the distance travelled by it?

Hey mate here is your answer

declaration by brakes = - 5m/sec sq
time duration of travel = 1.5 sec

Therefore. V=0,u=7.5 m/s

Distance travelled

S= UT+ 1/2 at sq
S= (7.5)(1.5)+1/2(5)(1.5)
=5.625 metres.
