Here, u=30m/s
v=0m/s
t=5 sec

Now, a = (v-u)/t
= (0-30)/5
= -30/5
=-6m/s²
or 6m/s² in opposite direction

Now, v²-u² = 2as
0²- (30)²= 2(-6)s
-900 = -12s
s = -900/-12 = 75m

Distance travelled after applying brakes = 75 metres

that's it !!!
