breadth of a rectangle is 44 M less than twice its length if the perimeter of rectangle is 122 metres find its length and breadth

let the breadth be X m

and the length be X+44m

given perimeter,122m

we know that perimeter =2*(l+b)=122

=2*[(x+44)+x]=122

=2*[2x+44]=122

=4x+88=122

4x=122-88

4x=34

x=34/4

x=71.5m

therefore breadth is 71.5m

so, length, x+44

=71.5+44

=115.5m
