factor affecting the climate of India are:

1.) latitude ---- The temperature drop the further an area is from the equator due to the curvature of the earth.

2.) Altitude --- location at a higher altitude have colder temperatures. Temperatures usually decreases by1°C for every 100 meter in altitude.

3.) pressure and winds ---- The pressure and winds system of any area depend on the latitude and altitude of the place. The climates and association weather conditions in India are governed by the following atmosphere conditions.

4.) distance from the sea --- oceans heats up and cool down much more slowly than land. this means that coastal locations tend to be cooler in summer and warmer in winter then places in land at the same latitude and longitude .

1. . Location: The Tropic of Cancer passed through the middle of India and the country north of the line lies in the temperate belt and south of it in the tropical belt. However, the northern wall of the Himalayas prevents the influx of cold north wind. As a result, temperature does not fall appreciably over North Indian Plains even in winter. India is generally treated as a hot country.

2. Size: India is a vast country and it is natural that South India lying closer to the equator is warmer than the northern counterpart especially in winter.
