Brian invests £990 into his bank account. He receives 2.7% per year simple interest. How much will Brian have after 4 years? Give your answer to the nearest penny where appropriate.

Rate = 2.7%

Time = 4yrs

( 4yrs = 12 × 4 = 48 months)

interest = P × R × T ÷ 100

= 990 × 2.7 × 48 ÷ 100

= 128304 ÷ 100

= 1283.04

SO, Brian will have £1283.04 after 4 years.
