Atom is the smallest structural and functional unit of matter. Evert matter - solid, liquid, gas and plasma is composed of atoms. It has as a whole neutral charge. Electrons revolve around it in it's orbit ,while nucleus is centrally located, consisting of protons and neutrons .Proton's are positively charged while electrons are negatively charged and neutron is neutral.
