in an unbalanced equation  there are UNEQUAL numbers at least one atom on each side of the arrow.

A balanced chemiexample Unbalanced equation -:--- H2O + O2 to form H2O

A balanced chemical equation occurs number of the different atoms of elements in the reactants side is equal to that of the products side.

Answer:-

Balanced Chemical Equation:-

An equal number of atoms of different elements in the reactants and products are  known as balanced chemical equations.

Example:-

                            C6H12O6--->6C+6H2O

          3 Hg(OH)2 + 2 H3PO4 ---> Hg3(PO4)2 + 6 H2O

Unbalanced Chemical Equations:-

An unequal number of atoms of one or more elements in a reactants and the products are known as unbalanced chemical equations.

Example:-

                      Ca(HCO3)2 -> CaCO3 + CO2 + H2O

               (NH4)2SO4 + CaCO3 -> (NH4)2CO3 + CaSO4

Explanation:-

Balancing of chemical equations:-

the process of making the number of different types of atoms equal on both the sides of an equation is known as balancing equations.

Example:-

          Zn + HCl ---> ZnCl2 + H2

There are two chlorines on the right but only one on the left,  the chlorine is in a single chemical which is  on each side . Put a 2 in front of the HCl on the left  side.

           Zn + 2HCl ---> ZnCl2 + H2

we  will see that the equation is now balanced, with one Zn on each side, two hydrogens on each side and two chlorines on each side.
