Answer:Golconda fort was built in the 13th century by the Kakatiyas with mud. It is located 11 kms from Hyderabad on a hill. The name Golconda means a circular hill. It affords a beautiful view from the top. It was the capital of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty since th15th century. This is when the concrete masonry block work was done. In 1687 Aurangzeb overthrew the QUtb Shahi and annexed Golconda to the Mughal Empire.
