The book is an autobiography of Helen Keller, who is one of the most respected and internationally recognized visually impaired and deaf ladies, who struggled against all odds to educate herself.
In this book, her childhood accounts are very interesting. Her love for knowledge and books were amazing. while reading the book not once you will feel that is written by someone who had so many physical restrictions. Everything is so beautifully accounted.
The first section of the book, which is Helen Keller's autobiography that she wrote while in college, includes accounts of many of her memories, some of which were very interesting to read. The book does get boring at times such as the remarkably long section about her favorite books, but you can easily skim through those chapters and just focus on the parts that are interesting to you.
the book gives the reader an even deeper insight into the world of the blind and deaf people.
