Lemuel Gulliver is a great adventurous traveler, who is always on the move. He cannot afford to stay idle for a long time. He is a man who is prepared to meet the unexpected at any time. Gulliver is quite polite and amiable. His ability to adapt is remarkable. Any new land he finds himself, he adapts himself to the situation. For example in the country of Lilliput, he adapts to their life style. He tries his level best to please the Emperor and the Lilliputians. However, they hatch a conspiracy against them, which he comes to know from a friendly lord at the Emperor's court. He could easily have destroyed the kingdom of Lilliput, but he decided to leave it secretly. Gulliver had the knack of befriending almost any stranger. His ability to learn any language always proved his strength. His diplomatic skills helped him take refuge at Blefuscu; he had made up his mind to leave the land of Blefuscu; he stayed there only till he had made all the preparations to travel to his home country. He was a great practical man.
