Crude oil, coal and gas are fossil fuels. They were formed over millions of years, from the remains of dead organisms, coal was formedfrom dead plant material. crude oil and gas were formed from dead marine organisms.

a millions of year ago when a piece of land is buried under soil due to natural calamity and then due to high pressure and temperature it forms a layer of rock know as coal

and when under sea the sea life animals die they get deposited in the bottom of sea after a few million years they form petroleum and natural gas
