Briefly explain about echo in navy

In navy echo is used in form of SONAR apparatus to measure depth of see bed from water level. Hope this helps

In navy there are 2 types of system which use the principle of echo
1. RADAR used in submarines
2. SONAR used in ships
what happens here is the transmitter transmits or sends some sound waves and then receives it back and then it measures the depth of the seas and also it can echolocate the enemies.
