Paleolithic man made crude chopping tools by chipping stones. Core and flake were the two main types of stone tools. Core tools were usually oval shaped and were made by chipping off pieces from chunks of small rocks and pebbles. Flake tools were the sharp pieces that were chiselled out while making core tools. Around 40,000 years ago,humans started attaching stone blades to handles made of bone or antler
