Natural resources provide clean water, food, habitat, protection from extreme events and opportunities for recreation and tourism. Climate change effects many of the services that natural resources provide. For example, changes in ocean temperature and chemistry are affecting shellfish agriculture. Climate related disruptions to agriculture have increased and are projected to become more severe.

Fire, drought and many factors are affecting forests. Water quality ans supply are stressed in some regions.
