<b > Answer :- Quit India Movement started in the year 1942 under the leadership of Gandhiji i. e. during the second world war when England announced their dependent country, India as a belligerent nation engaged in the war. With a view to restore the honour and prestige of the Indian people, Gandhi announced The QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT OR THE BHARAT CHORO AANDOLAN against The British government in India. Other factors leading to this movement were the fear of Japan attacking India, terror in East Bengal and the fact that India realised that the British could not defend the country anymore.
