The process of removing the fur from the sheep by using a manual razor is called shearing.

☆ Scouring ☆

The process of washing of the sheared hair to remove dirt and dust using machines is called scouring.

☆ Grading ☆

The process of grouping and sorting the wool according to its texture ,length and colour is called grading.

☆ Dyeing ☆

The process by which wool fibre is coloured according to desire or demand is called dyeing.

☆ Drying ☆

The process by which dyeing wool is dried is called drying.

☆ Spinning ☆

The process that involves the forming of wool using two, three or more strands of wool together is called spinning.
