The diary was an important part of Anne's life. For Anne, her diary was her best friend who would listen to her without any advises. 'I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a source of great comfort and support' is a comment Added by Anne on the first day of he writing. Anne usually wrote all the things she thought about everything in everyday life which helped her a lot in controlling her feelings. Anne did not want to show anyone her diary and did not want to lose her diary or get away from it. Writing a diary was a new and strange experience for her as she shared those feelings to her that actuallly no other person would like to hear about.

Anne Frank's diary is important because it is a first-hand account of what the Jews went through in Germany during WWII. Anne Frank describes trying to avoid the Nazis and what being in a concentration camp was like. It is also important because it is from a child's persepective. Many diaries were written by adults but this one is through the eyes of a young girl which makes it even more appealing to younger readers. Anne Frank's diary transports you back in time so that you can almost experience the horrors that she went through and feel thankful of the world today.
