Reaching Time

11 AM or 1100 hours

Time taken

One hundred twenty minutes or 2 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

For that,

We should find a time period which will be common for both.

Simply, the question is saying to find the LCM(Least Common Factor).

Easy Trick=>Write all multiples of 30 and 40 upto 10 times.

30=30,60,90,120,150,180,210,240,270,300

40=40,80,120,160,200,240,280,320,360,400

I marked the common factors as Bold and LCM as Bold, Italic and Underlined.

This means that both buses will be reaching the depot together after 120 mins. or 2 hrs.

Clear answer is that both the buses will stop together in depot at 11 AM.
