Hey mate......

Here is your answer.........

Let the Cost Price of the bed sheet be Rupees X

Now Selling Price is Rupees

selling \: price \: = \frac{120}{100} x = \frac{6}{5} x \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ therefore \: \: \frac{6}{5} x = 258 \\ \\ \\ \\ x = 258 \times \frac{5}{6} \\ \\ \\ \\ = 43 \times 5 = 215 \\ \\ \\

When Gain = 40%

selling \: price = \frac{140}{100} x = \frac{7}{5} \times 43 \times 5(215 = 43 \times 5 ) \\ \\ \\ \\ = 7 \times 43 = 301

Hope this helps.......
