Activity for vibrating objects to produce sound:

Place a loud speaker in the one end of the room.

Place a person in the other end of the room.

Switch on the loudspeaker and play a music with good bass (sound).

When the sound is high pitched it causes disruption in the air molecules and produces high pressure.

When the sound is low pitched it causes less disruption in the air molecules and produces low pressure.

This high and low pressure produced in the air molecules makes it layers of high and low pressure.

This helps in propagation of sound from one medium to another medium.
