* RUNNING TRAIN

* Passengers of a running train

* A bag in the running train.

* A farmer standing in the field outside the train.

* A bull walking through the field

Examples of state of rest/motion:

• Running train is in motion with respect to the people standing on ground. However it is in rest with respect to the passenger.

• A bag in the running train is also in motion w.r.t to the people outside the train, while it is at rest w.r.t the passengers in the train.

• The farmers standing outside the train will be at rest w.r.t to the people standing beside him. But he will be motion w.r.t the passengers in the train.

Similarly, we can say the same thing for the bull and the bird :

• For the bull, he is in motion w.r.t the other animals on the ground.

• But w.r.t the bird sitting on the bull's back, the bull is stationary.

• Also, the bird is in motion w.r.t the other animals on ground, but in rest w.r.t the bull.
