By equating the coficients of variables,solve the following equation. 5x + 7y = 17, 3x - 2y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

5x +7y =17 (x2)

3x -2y =4. (x7)

On solving we get,

31x = 62 that gives x=2.

Substituting value of x in eqn 2,

3x -2y =4

6 -2y =4

2y =2 or y=1

x=2 and y=1
