therefore
$\frac{2x}{(t + 2)x} = \frac{4}{(3t + 2)}$
$2x(3t + 2) = 4x(t + 2)$
$3t + 2 = 2t + 4$
$therefor \: \: \: \: \: \: \: t = 2$
