2x - 1 = 0

2x = 1

x = ½

According to remainder theorem apply the value of x in p(x)

p(x) = 4x³- 12x² + 14x - 3

p(½) = 4(½)³ - 12(½)² + 14(½) - 3

= 4(⅛) - 12(¼) + 7 - 3

 =  \frac{1}{2}  - 3 + 7 - 3 = \frac{1}{2} + 1</p><p>\\</p><p>=\frac{1+2}{2} = \frac{3}{2}
