By selling 1 marbles for a rupee, a shopkeeper loses 20%
>>
S.p of 1 marble = ₹1
₹1 = (1 - L /100) C.P
1 = (1-1/5) C.p
1 = 4/5 c.p
C.p of 1 marble = 5/4 = 1.25
Now
To gain 20%,
S.p of 1 marble = (1 + P /100) C.P
S.p = (1+ 1/5) c.p
S.p = 6/5 * (5/4)
S.p = 3/2= 1.5
Now
By using unitary method,
For ₹1.5 he sells= 1 marble
For ₹1 he sells = 1/1.5 marble = 2/3 = .66 marble ans
