CP of 288 hens-SP of 288 hens=SP of 12 hens

CP of 288 hens=SP of 300 hens

Let the CP of 1 hen be Rs 1.

Then, cost of 288 hens=Rs 288

SP of 300 hens=Rs 288

SP of 1 hen=288/300

Loss= CP of 1 hen-SP of 1 hen

= 1-(288/300)

=12/300

Loss%=Loss/CP*100

=12/300*100

=4%
