loss = SP of 4 article=4x rs.

we know, loss= CP-SP

let CP of 1 article= y rs

CP of 36 article=36y rs

loss= 36y-36x

loss= 4x,

compare above two equation,

4x = 36y-36x

40x= 36y

y= 40x/36 = 10x/9

loss percentage=loss*100/CP

= 4xx100/y ,put above value of y

% 4xx100/(10x/9)=4x100x9/10=360 %
