Loss = 12%

Let Cost price be x

loss = 12\% \: of \: x

 =  \frac{12x}{100}

 =  \frac{3x}{25}

Cost price = SP + Loss

=> x = 1760 + 3x/25

=> x = (44000 +3x)25

=> 25 x = 44,000 +3x

=> 25x-3x = 44,000

=> 22x = 44,000

 =  > x =  \frac{44000}{22}  \\  =  > x = 2000

Hence COST PRICE IS RS.2000
