Hey mate here is your answer : SP of ball = ₹39
G% =30%
CP =SP ×100/100+G%
CP= 39×100/100+30
CP= 39×100/130
CP= ₹30
Shopkeeper wants to sell it at gain if 40% and CP is ₹30 then,
SP = CP(100+G%)/100
SP= 30(100+40)/100
SP= 30×140/100
SP= ₹42 answer
So, ₹42 is price on which he can sell it to gain 40%.
