\Huge\mathrm{Question:}

On selling a bicycle for Rs. 1638,ishita loses 9% .At what price should she sell it to make a profit of 15% ?

\Huge\mathrm{Answer:}

Ishita sold bicycle at = Rs. 1,638 at loss of 9%

1st Case :-

SP = Rs. 1638

CP = ? = x

[CP = (100/100-loss) × SP]

 \tt{ cp = \frac{100}{100 - 9} \times 1638 }

 \tt{cp =  \frac{100}{91}  \times 1638}

 \tt{cp = rs.1800}

2nd Case :-

Now, the original price (CP) = Rs. 1800

SP = ?

Gain = 15%

[SP = (100 + gain/100) × CP]

\tt{\frac{100+15}{100} \times 1800 }

\sf{\frac{115}{100} \times 1800 }

SP = Rs. 2070

Hence, Ishita needs to sell the bicycle at Rs. 2070 to gain 15% .
