Sp=6000
P
=2/5*6000
=2400
Now,
P=Sp-Cp
2400=6000-Cp
Cp=6000-2400
=3600

That is very simple
Selling price = 6000 rs
Profit = 2/5 of the profit = 2/5×6000
Profit = 2400
Cost price = sp - profit
= 6000 - 2400
= 3600
