SP of pen is ₹289

loss of 15%

CP = (100 x SP) / (100-loss%)

= (100 x 289) / (100-15)

= 28900/85

= 340

CP of pen is ₹340

now, ti earn profit of 35%

SP = [(100+profit%)/100] x CP

= [(100+35)/100] x 340

= (135/100) x 340

= 459

hence the SP of pen is ₹459 to earn a profit of 35%.
