To take the profit of 30%, seller should sell it at 32.5 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of chair be x.

loss = 8% of C.P = 8% of x = 8x/100 = 2x/25

Sold price = Cost Price - loss

23 = x - (2x/25)

23 =  (25x - 2x) / 25

575 = 23 x

x = 575/23

x = Rs 25

Therefore,

S .P = C.P + 30% of cost price.

=> S.P = 25 + 30/100 × 25

=> S.p = 25 + 0.3 x 25

    S.p = 25 + 7.5

S.P = 32.5 Rs

To take the profit of 30%, seller should sell it at 32.5 Rs

Answer :-

To take the profit of 30%, seller should sell it at 32.5 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of chair be x.

loss = 8% of C.P = 8% of x = 8x/100 = 2x/25

Sold price = Cost Price - loss

23 = x - (2x/25)

23 =  (25x - 2x) / 25

575 = 23 x

x = 575/23

x = Rs 25

Therefore,

S .P = C.P + 30% of cost price.

=> S.P = 25 + 30/100 × 25

=> S.p = 25 + 0.3 x 25

    S.p = 25 + 7.5

S.P = 32.5 Rs

To take the profit of 30%, seller should sell it at 32.5 Rs
