Answer:

₹12800

Explanation:

Given :

Selling price of an article,SP = ₹16000

Profit % = 25

To Find :

Cost Price of the article,CP

Solution :

We know :

\sf{}CP=\dfrac{100}{100+P \%}\timesSP

Put their values and solve it.

\Rightarrow\sf{}CP=\dfrac{100}{100+25 }\times16000

\Rightarrow \sf{}CP=\dfrac{100}{125}\times16000

\Rightarrow \sf{}CP=\dfrac{100}{25}\times3200

\Rightarrow \sf{}CP=\dfrac{100}{5}\times1280

\Rightarrow \sf{}CP=\dfrac{100}{1}\times1280

\Rightarrow \sf{}CP=12800

Therefore Cost Price of the article is ₹12800
