Assume that,

Sales Price = SP

And new sales price is coming after 8% discount on sells price.

NSP = 0.92 * SP or SP = 1.08 * NSP

here NSP = 15600*

So Sales price is = 1.08*15600 = 16848

As per equation..after selling the article after offering the 8% discount on sales price he makes 19.6% on his cost price

This means

NSP = 1.196 * CP

15600 = 1.196 * CP

therefore CP = 15600/1.196 = 13043

Here,

CP = 13043, SP = 16848 and NSP = 15600

Now coming to question, If there is no discount offered on SP what will be the gain

SP = 16848

% Profit = Sales price/Cost Price

% Profit = 16848/13043= 1.29

Finally answer completed........

Profit =Mp-Cp

119.6-92=27.6

Profit%= 27.6/92*100=30%answer
