Thank you for asking this question.
Let me help you in finding the answer.

As we know the USSR abbreviated as  " Union of Soviet Socialist Republic" was existed till 1991. Because as the time pass people  begin to understand that even Soviet  Union developed so much as the socialist country. and also the people are being fed, they think Everything was not right . Their basic rights are being snatched ,they cannot speak as  a freedom person, they cannot give their opinion  and most of all they cannot even protests to get their rights.  That's why the reputation of USSR are begin to decreased that led carter its destruction.
Hope this will help you.

Answer:

The decline in its reputation is due to the fact that the people get to know that the people living in socialist countries ,Russia is developing but also the people don't have any rights .they don't have any political rights or any right to raise their voice against the cruel laws that were placed by that government
