Let the usual speed be x km/hr
And time taken be y hours

The distance between office and home will be constant i.e. d

d = x × y

d = x/4 × (y+1)

Combining above two equations :

=> xy = x/4 × (y+1)

=> xy = xy/4 + x/4

=> xy × 4/xy = x/4

xy will be cancelled

=> x = 16

Actual Speed = 16 km/hr

Putting x = 16

x/4 (y+1) = xy

16/4 (y+1) = 16y

4y + 4 = 16y

12y = 4

y = 1/3
