Answer:

Answer: under the spout of overflow jar, place a measuring cylinder. now lower a solid into the waterand then it displaces water by its volume which makes the water flow to measuring cylinder ( which we placed earlier) from the spout. Record the volume of water collected in measuring cylinder.

Take a measuring cylider. Fill it with some volume of water. Now, measure the volume. Submerge the glass stopper underwater and measure new volume. Now, subtract the final and initial volumes. The difference will be the volume of water displaced.

Notice that the volume of water displaced will be equal to the volume of the glass stopper.

Now, take a spring balance and measure the weight of the glass stopper. From that, you'll get its mass. (To find mass, just change the unit from kgF to kg, gF to g and so on, the numeric value will remain the same, unless weight is in Newtons)

Now, to find the density, simply divide the mass by the volume of water displaced (Because Vol of water displaced = Vol of the glass stopper)

The final result you get after division will be.
