(-18)-2 × y = (-3)-1
= (-20)y = -4
= y = -4/-20
= y = 1/5

Hi ,

Let a is multiplied

with ( - 18 ) ^-2 = ( -3 )^-1

a × ( -18 )^-2 = ( -3 )^-1

a = ( - 18 )² / ( - 3 )

a = ( - 18 ) ( - 18 ) / ( - 3 )

a = ( - 18 ) ( 6

a = - 108

Therefore ,

Required number = a = - 108

I hope this helps you.
