Rocky substances with gasses like hydrogen, Helium etc.

Terrestrial planets are those planets which are included in our solar system. All the terrestrial planets in our solar system have the same basic structure which is a central core which gives energy to the planets. The central core of most of the planets is not much hot as compared to Earth's core.

The four terrestrial planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars have some similar physical properties that is why these planets are also called as rocky planets. The other four planets i.e. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are called gaseous planets. Among them, Jupiter is also called gas giant because it is the largest planet in our solar system.
